Best LED Bulbs for Projector Headlights: Buying Guide
Now that you know about the best products on our list, let’s move on to the buying guide. At the end of the day, you need to know what features a good headlight LED bulb should have-
Most LED bulbs mention their lifespan right on the packaging. Although there are some bulbs that don’t. The general rule of thumb for these things is, that they’ll have at least 10,000 hours of lifespan. That’ll last you for a few years.
You’re basically buying the bulbs for their light output, right? So, the minimum range you should look for is 8000 lumens. If it’s any lower than that you know this isn’t for you.
The build quality and design are something you can’t avoid. Suppose you bought a bulb but it doesn’t fit your vehicle. So, is that light bulb any good? No.
But other than that, remember to check what materials were used to make the product. Even though these bulbs don’t face environmental elements but as they’re heavy-duty lights, the build quality needs to be top-notch.
Where there’s light, there’ll be heat. The same applies to LED bulbs. No matter how great the product is, it’ll produce a little heat.
However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it can’t have a cooling mechanism. For LED bulbs, the cooling mechanism means a heat dissipation mechanism.
When the bulb distributes the heat properly, the temperature will stay on the lower side. This is a great feature for people who have to use lights for a longer period of time.
Generally, a LED bulb should have at least one cooling mechanism. Although some high-end products include two systems.
Can you put LED bulbs in the projector headlights?
LED bulbs are a lot brighter than other lights such as halogen and HID lights. These will give a much brighter light while being efficient.
Which brighter LED headlight 6000K or 8000K?
6000K lights are brighter than 8000K lights. You see, 6000K lights emit a perfect white color while 8000K light shows a somewhat less bright color. The higher the Kelvin rating, the less visibility it’ll have.
